Services & Fees

The following is a schedule of fees for any work carried out in the Greater Sydney Metropolitan Region on registered pools and spas. Please note that there are additional costs associated with pools where rectification work is required, and that Pool Certification Sydney is required by law to receive payment in advance of any services provided in its capacity as an accredited E-1 Certifier of pools and spas. An on-site inspection should take between 30 and 60 minutes.

Comprehensive pool/spa compliance inspection and report

For pools/spas where no rectification work is required:
For privately owned pools/spas incl. issue of Compliance Certificate – $300.00 plus GST
For shared pools/spas e.g. apartment block incl. issue of Compliance Certificate – $350.00 plus GST
For pools/spas where rectification work is required:
Comprehensive pool/spa compliance/non-compliance inspection with a full photographic report on how to make your pool legally compliant complete with options:
For privately owned pools/spas – $300.00 plus GST
For shared pools/spas (i.e. in an apartment block) – $400.00 plus GST

Re-inspection to check that all previously nominated rectification works are now compliant and the issue of a pool/spa compliance certificate

For privately owned pools/spas – $200.00 plus GST
For shared pools/spas – $250.00 plus GST


Note 1:  An additional fee of $50.00 plus GST may be charged for travel by road of more than 40 km from the Sydney GPO.

Note 2: An additional fee of $100.00 plus GST may be charged for urgent pool inspections / certificates required the same day.

Note 3: An additional fee of $150.00 p/h plus GST will be charged if assistance is required with a Council pool inspection, a Notice of Direction issued by a Council or to project manage the pool barrier rectification process through to completion.

Note 4: Shared pools / spas incur an additional fee of $50.00 plus GST per inspection.

Note 5: An additional fee of $100.00 plus GST will be charged for pools within Kuringai Council area due to council demands to submit a Section 22E Notice on their Portal website, 6 weeks after the first inspection if the pool remains non-compliant.

Remember: If you are selling a residential property with a pool or spa after 29 April 2016, you will need a valid Pool Compliance Certificate or Non-Compliance Certificate to include in the Contract for Sale. If you are leasing a residential property with a pool or spa after 29 April 2016, you will need a valid Pool Compliance Certificate to include in the Contract for Lease. (excluding properties where the pool/spa is situated on land in a strata scheme)
